1. As the third largest bauxite reserve country and sixth largest primary aluminium producer, Brazil plays an important role in the global aluminium market. In 2008, the Brazil aluminium market developed rapidly. Its domestic aluminum products consumption reached 1.0239 million tons, up by 11.4% compared with 2007. Meanwhile, aluminium export reached $4.8 billion, which accounted for 2.4% of Brazil’s total exports. It made great contribution to Brazil’s trade balance.

1. ExpoAluminio will be held simultaneously with the ABAL meeting. It is estimated that 1000 representatives will attend the meeting. The aluminium market, latest technology and its application will be discussed.
2. As the largest and most important aluminium seminar in Brazil, the International Aluminium Congress will also be held simultaneously with the ExpoAluminio. The seminar will bring together experts from all areas and discuss the development the aluminium recycling industry. Other major issues such as current situation of the domestic and international market, technological innovation, tax matters, aluminium recycling and sustainable growth will also be discussed.
